Ms. Momoka Okano of MEXT stayed at ASHBi

On October 30-31, 2023, as part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) staff training program, Ms. Momoka Okano underwent the training program at the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Biology (WPI-ASHBi). The member of ASHBi Research Acceleration Unit (the Administrative Director Tadashi Ogawa, the Scientific Advisor Spyros Goulas, URA Makoto Shida, Research Coordinators Hiromi Inoue and Chieko Chiwata) explained the research environment and the research support program at ASHBi. Moreover, the Core Head Takuya Yamamoto and the Core Manager Taro Tsujimura showed her the facility of Single-Cell Genome Information Analysis Core (SignAC) and explained about their services. Additionally, she joined two discussion sessions about the PR activities for students and the research environment for young researchers. In the session of the PR activities for students, Hiromi Sumita, the Public Information Officer of the Institute of Medical Science (LiMe), joined the discussion. In the session of research environment for young researchers, she met Assistant professors Mari Onuki and Ken Mizuta to learn about their research projects, and exchange opinions regarding to the nurturing young researchers.
