August 1, 2023
We will have ASHBi Seminar with Dr. Pamela Guruciaga from European Molecular Biology Laboratory as a lecturer.
Pamela Guruciaga finished her PhD studies in Physics at the National University of Mar del Plata, Argentina, in March 2018. She then completed a postdoc at the C entro Atómico Bariloche, also in Argentina. During these stages of her career, shefocused on the application of statistical physics to condensed matter, especially magnetic systems. Since April 2021 she is a postdoc at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Germany, where she now uses the tools of statistical physics to study biological problems. She is particularly interested in symmetry-breaking processes in morphogenesis and the role of the environment in tissue patterning. She is a Marie Curie Fellow (EIPOD4) and a member of the Joachim Herz Foundation.
If you have any interest in the topic, you are welcome to attend this seminar.
