With the aim to support early stage non-Japanese researchers, ASHBi and iCeMS co-organized a KAKENHI Writing Seminar in English with support by KURA on 11 September 2020.

In the first part, Makoto Shida (URA of ASHBi), gave an overview of the KAKENHI evaluation system to provide a reviewer’s perspective of the proposal, followed by tips for effective storytelling. In the second part, Daniel Packwood (PI of iCeMS) gave practical writing tips from his experience of winning multiple KAKENHI grants.
