In order to perform advanced medical and life science research, a variety of expensive equipment is required. To support more researchers in their cutting-edge research with limited budgets, Kyoto University has established “the Innovative Support Alliance for Life Sciences (iSAL) “. iSAL is an alliance of five departments, including the Graduate School of Medicine, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Graduate School of Biostudies, Institute for Life and Medical Sciences, and Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Biology (ASHBi). Through KUMaCo, our online shared systems, cutting-edge equipment, and analysis technologies are provided beyond the departmental framework to support top-level global research.
