Dr. Taro Tsujimura (ASHBi) and I hosted a workshop "Genome autonomy, woven by various functional elements: its frontline and technology development" at the 45th Molecular Biology Society of Japan (Makuhari Messe).
In this workshop, we invited speakers who aim to decipher functional genome by leveraging novel technologies that enable genome-wide analysis of gene regulatory elements.
Fumitaka Inoue (Kyoto Univ. ASHBi), Dr. Kousuke Mouri (The Jackson Laboratory), Dr. Yasuhiro Murakawa (Kyoto Univ. ASHBi, RIKEN), Dr. Tetsutaro Hayashi (RIKEN), Dr. Nayuta Yakushiji-Kaminatsui (RIKEN), Aki Ushiki (UCSF), and Dr. Taro Tsujimura (Kyoto Univ. ASHBi)

The workshop includes MPRA, 5' RNA-seq, shinRAmDA-seq, long-read DNA-seq, as well as limb phenotypic approach, all accelerating many discussions and further development of the functional genomics research field. I appreciate all speakers and participants!

In addition, Assistant Professor Xun Chen presented a talk and poster at the conference and got a lot of feedbacks. We appreciate the participants for the productive discussion!
