The “Writing Seminar for the JSPS DC1/DC2 Doctoral Course Fellowship”, organized by WPI-ASHBi, was held online on April 18th, attracting over 1,400 registrants from Kyoto University and various other institutions.
The seminar aimed to equip both international and Japanese graduate students with practical guidance on crafting compelling proposals for the DC1/DC2 Fellowship, for their future application.
Makoto Shida, the ASHBi-URA, delivered a presentation covering two key areas: 1) an overview of the program and its evaluation system, emphasizing crucial elements for a successful application and 2) effective storytelling strategy that incorporate the reviewer’s perspective to make the proposal clear, impactful, and easy to understand.
