Research Overview
Clonal heterogeneity and evolution of MPN revealed by single-cell RNA/DNA sequencing
JAK2 mutations are hallmarks of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), but also found in other myeloid neoplasms, such as myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). While JAK2-mutated MPN cases frequently develop to AML, approximately half of the cases no longer carry JAK2 mutation. These observations suggest a complicated mechanism of mutant JAK2-mediated clonal selection during myeloid leukemogenesis. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of JAK2-mutated clones on the clonal evolution of JAK2- wild type clones in leukemic transformation.
