ASHBi Seminar (Dr. Julian Savulescu & Dr. Christopher Gyngell)
We will have ASHBi seminar with Dr. Julian Savulescu from National University of Singapore and Dr. Christopher Gyngell from University of Melbourne and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI), as a lecturer.
Dr. Savulescu is a philosopher who researches the ethics of various new or emerging technologies, including new methods of reproduction and enhancement of physical and cognitive performance through drugs or genetic manipulation. Dr. Gyngell is a Research Fellow in Biomedical Ethics, whose research interests lie primarily in the ethical implications of biotechnologies and the philosophy of health and disease. In this seminar, they will share their latest insights on the ethics of genome editing.
