We are pleased to announce that the Alev Lab hosted the ASHBi Workshop on “Deconstructing and Reconstructing Embryonic Development” on March 13, 2023. Recent advances in bottom-up model systems of embryonic development offer powerful complements to classical embryo-based approaches. These include stem cell-derived models covering pre-, peri-, and post-gastrulation stages, as well as novel in vitro systems for studying human and animal morphogenesis and tissue formation. This workshop brought together leading national and international experts working at the intersection of developmental biology and stem cell research to share their insights and cutting-edge findings in this exciting and fast-evolving field. We warmly welcome all colleagues interested in embryology, and developmental engineering to engage with this workshop's content.
