Jun Wu from UT Southwestern Medical Center, who will present a lecture titled: “Unraveling Mitochondrial Influence on Mammalian Pluripotency via Enforced Mitophagy” Pr. Wu is a leading figure in pluripotent stem cells research, widely recognized for his groundbreaking work in interspecies chimeras (e.g., human–pig, human–monkey) and stem cell-derived embryo models. His research has opened new frontiers in developmental biology and regenerative medicine. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the ISSCR Outstanding Young Investigator Award (2024) and the CPRIT Scholar Award.
